The Controller contributes to the overall success of the organization by proactively managing all financial tasks for the organization and being a capable member of the organization’s leadership team. This position will also have a responsibility to build key financial process capabilities in proactive financial management across forecasting, pricing, trade, procurement, co-manufacturing and transportation & warehousing while being the roll up your sleeves financial partner and advisor to the leadership team in day to day decision making.

Lead accounting department operations, G/L, A/P, A/R, Credit & Collections, Payroll, all Tax, Treasury & Audit.
Prepare and deliver month-end close process; assist in preparing board presentations
Deliver Balance Sheet and P&L’s of all entities; have detailed familiarity with the financial statements.
Implement and enforce of internal controls; ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Pro-actively analyze financial data and present reports; manage external audit process.
Assist with M&A diligence and facilitate the integration of acquisitions post-transaction.
Manage/supervise preparation of all required tax filings by outside accountants
Assist with expected RTO in 2019 on the Canadian Exchange


Experience in building the financial organization and related capabilities of growing/scaling companies.
10+ years of progressive Finance/Accounting experience in preferably retail or product manufacturing.
Start-up experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting required and MBA preferred.
CPA/CMA certification designation strongly preferred
Advanced understanding of Excel for financial modeling, proficient in Word and PowerPoint; experience working in QuickBooks desired.
Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley reporting and documentation, IFRS preferred.
