The MIP Associate is responsible for following cooking procedures to create consistent, safe, and quality edibles per company standards. This position will navigate the day to day kitchen operations producing products infused with Cannabis Oils and Isolates. This position will ensure that all products meet quality and compliance standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Preparing ingredients for a recipe as well as maintaining a safe working environment
Making fruit chews, hard candies, chocolates, gummies, and other marijuana-infused products like beverages
Must be able to measure out ingredients and concentrates with precision and be familiar with infusion techniques
Assist in the creation and production of large batches of Cannabis Edibles.
Help develop and execute the process of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Perform administrative tasks, such as documenting all machine maintenance, logging test results, printing labels, auditing products and supplies.
Package finished products.
Assist with creation of new products
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
Bachelor’s degree with major concentration in food preparation, culinary arts or related field preferred
Basic Knowledge of kitchen equipment
Must be at least 21 years of age and obtain or be able to obtain proper cannabis badging as per state regulations
Experience with MIP in the cannabis industry preferred
Equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience considered
Knowledge of laboratory best practices
Intermediate laboratory experience
Be familiar with food safety guidelines
